2021 Wyoming High School Volleyball Regional Tournament Scoreboard
It’s time for post-season volleyball action across the state with regional tournaments around Wyoming Friday and Saturday.
These tournaments are used to qualify and seed teams for next weekend’s state tournament in Casper. Two wins will qualify your team for the state tournament. Two losses mean your season is over.
The regional volleyball tournaments are in Afton, Buffalo, Dayton, Gillette, Lander, Lyman, and Thermopolis.
1A East (in Buffalo):
In the Southeast, the tiebreaker between Rock River and H.E.M. was two head-to-head wins by the Longhorns over the Miners. In the Northeast, the 3-team tie between Kaycee, Upton, and Hulett involved three tiebreakers. The first was conference set record head-to-head. Kaycee and Upton were 10-9, while Hulett was 8-10. The next was the fewest points allowed in conference matches head-to-head. Kaycee allowed 185, while Upton allowed 206. The Buckaroos gain the top seed. Upton won the conference set record, 5-4, versus Hulett, 4-5. The Bobcats get the second seed and the Red Devils are the third seed.

1A West (in Lander): matches will be at Lander High School in the Fieldhouse (FH) & Auxiliary Gym (Aux)
The tiebreaker to determine the top seed from the south between Little Snake River and Cokeville was a coin flip. The Rattlers won the flip and get the top seed. The Panthers are the second seed.

2A East (in Dayton at Tongue River HS):
The tiebreaker between Moorcroft and Tongue River came down to the head-to-head conference set records. The Wolves beat the Eagles in four sets at home, while the Eagles beat the Wolves in five sets at home. Moorcroft gets the No. 3 seed.

Kelly Walsh earned the top seed based on their head-to-head win at Laramie. Cheyenne East earned the No. 3 seed with their head-to-head win over Thunder Basin. Cheyenne Central earned the No. 7 seed thanks to a head-to-head game record vs. Cheyenne South. Central’s win was in four sets vs. South’s was in five sets.
