Rawlins finished 2nd at the 3A State Volleyball Tournament in 2017 and 2018 but in 2019, the Outlaws reached the promised land. This team won their first state title since 2001 with a convincing 25-17, 25-13 and 25-13 victory over Worland on Saturday at the Casper Events Center. The Outlaws were certainly tested in the semi-final round against Pinedale while Worland looked impressive with a round two win over Douglas. But Rawlins put together a superior defensive effort and a solid outing on offense led by Jordan Jerome and McKenzie Earl. The Outlaws went 37-5 this season while Worland's season concluded with a record 26-9. The Warriors should be good next year as they'll lose just 2 seniors. Here's a bit of video of Saturday's championship match. Enjoy!
