Last week’s head-to-head win over Jackson propelled the Kelly Walsh Trojans to the top spot in the 4A boys’ ranks. The Trojans received all but one first-place vote. The loss moved the Broncs down to the second spot. Laramie held onto third. Sheridan earned enough votes and pushed up one to fourth, while Rock Springs dropped to fifth.
In 4A girls, Thunder Basin remained at the top. The Bolts are undefeated and earned 11 of the 12 first-place votes. The rest of the top five shifted around. Natrona County jumped three spots from a tie for fifth to second. The Fillies are at the top of the West Conference. Kelly Walsh climbed up to third. Rock Springs fell to fourth, while Jackson dropped from second down to fifth. All that movement pushed Laramie out of the top five.
Mountain View’s win at Worland last week pushed the Buffalos back into the top five at No. 5 in the 3A girls poll. The top three are the same. Cody maintained the top spot with 12 of the 14 first-place votes. Lander got the other two first-place votes and stay at No. 2. Riverton held steady in third. Buffalo made a move up to fourth.
The lone change in the 3A boys poll was no tie for fifth. The Worland Warriors stayed at the top of the rankings. They earned ten of the 13 first-place votes.
