Sheridan's Abagail Olson will continue her rodeo career at the college level as she was committed to Fort Hays State in Kansas. Olson is coming off a strong performance at the 2023 National High School Finals Rodeo in Gillette by taking 4th place in the barrel racing. That's not easy to do considering there were 195 contestants in the event but Olson placed 7th in the first go-round, 20th in the 2nd go-round, and 6th in the short go. She also competed in the pole bending at the NHSFR.

In the 2024 season. Olson placed 1st in the first performance of the pole bending in last week's rodeo in Rock Springs and 2nd in the barrel racing. She placed 2nd in the pole bending in the 2nd perf in Rock Springs and right she is 3rd in the girls all-around. Olson is 2nd in the state in the barrels 4th in the pole bending, 14th in the goat tying, and 32nd in the breakaway roping.

Fort Hays State is a Division II school that competes in the Mid-American Athletic Conference.
