Aleah Brooks of Cheyenne East Commits to LA Tech for Softball

Aleah Brooks has been a hitting machine for the Cheyenne East softball team and her power display has earned a scholarship with Division I Louisiana Tech. In the 2024 season, Brooks pounded out 15 home runs which is a state record for a single season. She was walked 34 times in the season and 11 of those were intentional.

All told in her prep career to date with the T-Birds, Brooks has hit 26 home runs with 24 doubles, 7 triples, and 117 runs batted in. Her career batting average is .538 and has been named All-State for the last 3 seasons. She plays in the infield on defense and was a Gatorade Player of the Year nominee. Brooks also has extensive club experience with the Colorado Softball Academy 18U Gold-United team.

LA Tech plays in Conference USA and was 32-22 last season on the diamond.
