All-Star Soccer Matches Held in Gillette over the Weekend

The 2nd annual all-star soccer matches were contested at Thunder Basin High School in Gillette on Saturday with the Gold team beating the White team 3-0 in both girls' and boys' play. This year, the teams were assembled through a draft as opposed to a random selection.

In the girl's match, Tayler Miller of Cheyenne East scored first with Autumn Wilson of Cody found the net once in the first half and once in the 2nd half for the Gold Team. In the boys' match, Hayden Hollinger of Kelly Walsh opened the scoring for the Gold in the first half with Powell's Hawkin Sweeney and Worland's Cole Venable scoring in the 2nd half.

Sixty-six players were voted into the all-star matches by coaches statewide.
