It is Week 16 of the 2024 American Legion Baseball in Wyoming. A few Class A East Conference games remain to finalize the seeding for their new Best-of-Three postseason series. This includes some make-up games. The Class A West Conferences have concluded their regular season. At the Class AA level, it’s a mix of a little tournament action, non-conference action, and league games.

MONDAY, JULY 15:

Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 14 Belle Fourche (SD) Broncs B 1 - the Rustlers led 7-0 and pulled away with 7 more runs in the 4th. Schilling had 3 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 7 Belle Fourche (SD) Broncs B 2 - Gillette led 5-0 after 3 innings. Newman had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

TUESDAY, JULY 16:

Final Score: Torrington Tigers 12 Cheyenne Eagles 2 (conference game) - game completed from 6-30-24: Tigers trailed 2-0 but took the lead with 7 runs in the 2nd. Greiman had 3 hits & 1 RBI. B. Hager added 1 hit & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Jackson Giants 1 Sheridan Troopers 0 (conference game) - Giants get a walk-off, game-winning RBI single from Cope with 1 out in the 7th. Both teams had only 3 hits. Holding allowed 0 runs on 3 hits with 4 Ks. Maestri struck out 12 in the loss for Sheridan.

Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 7 Jackson Giants 2 (conference game) - the Troopers got the road split. Sheridan held a 3-0 lead and steadily pulled away. C. Hamrick & Green had 1 hit & 1 RBI. The Troopers took advantage of 6 walks and a couple of errors.

Final Score: Casper Drillers 9 Buffalo Bulls 4 (conference game) - the Drillers scored 8 runs in the 4th, 5th, & 6th innings. K. Pexton had 1 hit & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Buffalo Bulls 12 Casper Drillers 11 (conference game) - the Bulls get a key split. Buffalo scored 6 runs in the 7th to rally and win. Teten had the game-winning, walk-off 2-run single to CF. Jawors had 4 hits (2B) & 6 RBIs for the Bulls.

Final Score: Greeley Grays 2025 17U 12 Laramie Rangers AA 4 (9-inn. game) - after a 4-4 tie, the Grays scored 8 runs over the last 4 frames. Turk had 3 hits & 2 RBIs for the Grays.

CABA All-American World Championship in Lubbock, TX

Final Score: East LA Dodgers 3 Cheyenne Sixers 1 - Reisdorfer had 3 hits & Pearson 2 hits, but it wasn't enough.

Final Score: LBK 6 Cheyenne Hawks 1 - a pair of 3-run innings by LBK was the difference.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 17:

Final Score: Casper Drillers 7 Douglas Cats 3 (conference game) - the Drillers rallied with a 6-run 7th. K. Johnson had 2 hits & 2 RBIs for the Drillers. Pexton had the go-ahead RBI single for Casper. Johnson had a triple and 2 RBIs for Douglas.

Final Score: Douglas Cats 7 Casper Drillers 2 (conference game) - the Cats led 3-2 and added 1 run in the 3rd and 3 more in the 5th. Lehnen had a double & 2 RBIs. Kejr added 2 hits & 2 runs scored.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 8 Boise (ID) Baseball Academy 3 - the Sixers led 4-2 after the 1st inning and added 4 insurance runs over the last 2 innings. Williams allowed 3 unearned runs on 4 hits with 9 Ks. Horton had 2 hits & 2 runs scored. Westby had 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Cheyenne Hawks 11 Strikes bb 8 - a 5-run 3rd inning keyed the Hawks' victory. King had 4 hits (3B) & 1 RBI. Frogge added 2 hits (2B) & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Idaho Falls, ID 8 Jackson Giants 1 - the Giants led 1-0 but could not hold on.

Final Score: Pendleton, OR 8 Jackson Giants 7 - the Giants had a 7-2 lead, but Pendleton scored the last 6 runs, including 3 in the 6th for the win. Cope had 1 hit & 2 RBIs.

CABA All-American World Championship in Lubbock, TX

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 6 Lubbock (TX) Baseball Academy 0 - Pearson & 2 relievers combined on a 5-hit shutout with 9 Ks. McAnelly had 2 hits & 3 RBIs. Pearson added 2 hits & 2 runs scored at the plate.

Final Score: Wallball BB 15U 10 Cheyenne Hawks 4 - Wallball scored 9 runs over 2 innings that proved too much to overcome. Horton & Cotton had 1 hit & 1 RBI each for Cheyenne.

FRIDAY, JULY 19:

Final Score: Gillette Riders 10 Laramie Rangers AA 0 (conference game) - Drube tossed a 1-hit shutout. The Riders took advantage of 3 errors for 4 unearned runs. Killian had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 12 Laramie Rangers AA 2 (conference game) - Gillette scored 4 in the 2nd and 6th in the 4th to break it open. Petersen had 3 hits (2B) & 1 RBI. Drube added 1 hit & 2 RBIs.

SATURDAY, JULY 20:

Final Score: Casper Oilers 4 Billings Scarlets 3 (9 inns.) - DePoorter's RBI sac fly was the game-winning run for Casper in the second extra inning. Hauck had 1 hit & 2 RBIs. Christensen and Whitley added 2 hits each. Christensen added 1 RBI, and Whitley scored 2 times.

Final Score: Casper Oilers 7 Billings Scarlets 4 - the Oilers used a 5-run 4th to take the lead. Pexton & Parks had 2 hits & 2 RBIs apiece.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 7 Lubbock (TX) Raiders 17U 6 - the Sixers built a 7-2 lead and held off the Raiders comeback attempt. McAnelly and Westby had 2 hits & 2 RBIs each.

Final Score: Cheyenne Hawks 3 BBA Beasts Showcase 16U 1 - the Hawks rallied from a 1-0 deficit. Naughton had 2 hits (2B) & 1 RBI. Hall allowed 1 run on 2 hits with 7 Ks & 3 walks.

SUNDAY, JULY 21:

Final Score: Billings Scarlets 7 Casper Oilers 0 - the Oilers had 6 hits but couldn't string much together.

Final Score: Billings Scarlets 11 Casper Oilers 4 - the Scarlets jumped out 7-0 and got the road sweep.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 11 Sheridan Troopers 3 (conference game) - the Riders broke a 3-3 tie with 5 runs in the 4th and pulled away. Drube had 3 hits & 4 RBIs. Petersen homered for the Riders. Hecker added 3 hits (2B) & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 10 Gillette Riders 2 (conference game) - the Troopers took the lead in the 2nd and capped it with 5 runs in the 6th. Barney. Maestri, & Brown had 2 hits & 2 RBIs each.
