The 2024 Wyoming Legion Baseball season is into Week 9. Every team has played at least two games, and now that we are past Memorial Day weekend, the schedule starts to kick into high gear. There are seven conference doubleheaders this week. Riverton has the only in-state tournament this weekend. The Raiders host three other teams for the annual Roy Peck Wood Bat Tournament. Four teams head out of state for tournament play.

Final Score: Evanston Outlaws 8 Rock Springs Stallions 5 - Evanston used 6 runs in their last 2 at-bats to seize the lead. Oliver had 3 hits & 2 RBIs for the Outlaws.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers A 5 Wheatland Lobos 2 - a 5-run 4th put Laramie in front. T. Looney and Gill had 2 hits & 1 RBI apiece.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers A 6 Wheatland Lobos 3 - Laramie took the lead for good in the 2nd with 4 runs. Bailey had 2 hits & drove in 1 run.

Final Score: Billings (MT) Expos 6 Lovell Mustangs 4 - a 4-run 5th put the Expos in front. Wassmer had 3 hits & 1 RBI in defeat for the Mustangs.

Final Score: Billings Expos 18 Lovell Mustangs 6 - the Expos broke it open with 10 runs in the 6th inning. Jackson had 3 hits & 2 RBIs for Lovell in the loss.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 29:

Final Score: Riverton Raiders 16 Buffalo Bulls 3 - the Raiders scored 10 runs in the 1st inning and cruised to the win. Anderson and Kihn had 1 hit & 3 RBIs each.

Final Score: Riverton Raiders 7 Buffalo Bulls 1 - a 4-run 3rd broke the tie for Riverton. Noseep had 1 hit & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Bonneville (Idaho Falls), ID 20 Jackson Giants 4 (9-inning game) - a 14-run 4th inning was the difference. Witt had 2 hits & 1 RBI for Jackson in the loss.

Final Score: Mountain View (Loveland, CO) 5 Cheyenne Eagles 3 - after the Eagles tied it, MV scored 3 in the 5th for the difference.

Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 5 Douglas Cats 1 (conference game) - down 1-0, the Rustlers scored 4 runs in the 1st inning to take the lead for good. Smith had 1 hit & 2 RBIs for Gillette.

Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 13 Laramie Rangers 2 - the Troopers had an early 5-1 lead and scored 8 runs in the 4th to finish it off. C. Hamrick had 2 hits & 3 RBIs, while Maestri added 2 hits & 2 RBIs. He also got the win on the mound.
