WyoPreps Spotlight: Cody Cubs Baseball 2024 [VIDEO]
One of the hottest teams in American Legion Baseball in Wyoming is the Cody Cubs. They have won 12 straight games entering Friday’s conference doubleheader at Riverton. Cody was up and down for various reasons to start the 2024 season. Since a game two victory over rival Powell on June 18, which was a 4-3 victory, Cody has not lost.
The Cubs went to Denver and swept five games versus Thunder Ridge and Arapahoe. They followed that with a conference sweep of Lovell, 11-1 and 19-6, on Tuesday, June 25. Last weekend, Cody took two at home against the Casper Drillers, 13-2 and 10-7, on Saturday. The Cubs followed that with two more wins over the Sheridan Jets, 3-2 and 13-2. Cody improved to 28-14-1 on the season.

On Friday, WyoPreps spoke up with Cubs’ manager Beau White to discuss the turnaround. He said there have been a few factors. That includes the players’ health, focusing on getting better each day, and more.
Cody has another conference doubleheader on Saturday at the Riverton Raiders. The Cubs are two weeks away from the West District Tournament in Green River. If they qualify, the A State Tournament is in Powell starting on July 27, 2024.
