2026 Wyoming American Legion Baseball Division 2 State Tournament Scoreboard

Green River is the host of the 2026 Wyoming American Legion Baseball Senior Legion Division 2 State Tournament. All games will be at Stratton Myers Park from July 30 through August 3. It’s an eight-team, modified, double-elimination bracket. This is the first Division 2 State Tournament under the new format for Senior Legion Baseball in Wyoming, so there is no defending champion.

Thursday, July 30:

Final Score: (N2) Cody Cubs 11 (S3) Cheyenne Eagles 5 - The Cubs used a 7-run 5th inning to get the victory. The Eagles scored 3 runs in the top of the 3rd. Cody answered with 4 in the bottom of the frame. Cheyenne took a 5-4 lead with 2 more runs in the 4th. Machen, Delzer, and Johnston had 1 hit & 2 RBIs each. Cody benefited from 8 walks and overcame 5 errors. Palmer had 3 hits & 2 RBIs to lead the Eagles.

Final Score: (N3) Lovell Mustangs 13 (S2) Wheatland Lobos 8 - The Mustangs exploded for 10 runs in the top of the 5th inning to break open a 1-run game. Wilson had an RBI double, Baxendale an RBI single, Owens a 2-run single, Morgan an RBI single, Rael a 2-run single, and 3 bases-loaded walks. Owens led the Lovell offense with 2 hits, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. Morgan added 3 hits, 1 RBI, and 3 runs scored. Raser led the Lobos with 3 hits and drove in 1 run.

Final Score: (N4) Riverton Raiders 6 (S1) Torrington Tigers 0 - Brayden Baker tosses a No-hitter! He struck out 15 batters and allowed only 1 walk, 1 hit batter, and a runner on by error. Riverton scored in four of the seven innings. They had 2 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings. Basyn Anderson had 2 hits & 2 RBIs to lead the Raiders' offense. His two-run double in the 3rd made it 3-0 Riverton.

Final Score: (N1) Jackson Giants 6 (S4) Green River Knights 1 - The Giants took a 1-0 lead. Green River tied it in the 5th, but Jackson regained a 2-1 lead on an error. The Giants pulled away with 4 runs in the 6th inning. Cabradilla and Menke had 2-run singles. Menke led the Jackson offense with 3 hits, 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored, and 3 stolen bases. GR was held to 3 hits by 3 Giants pitchers.

Friday, July 31:

Final Score: Torrington Tigers 9 Cheyenne Eagles 5 - The Eagles are eliminated. The Tigers rallied from a 5-2 deficit by scoring 7 runs in the 6th inning. Cheyenne scored on a fielder's choice and on a 2-run single by Mitchell to take a 3-0 lead. Torrington cut it to 3-1 on Hunter's RBI base hit. An error helped the Tigers trim it to 3-2. Carpenter's RBI double and a wild pitch made it 5-2, Eagles. Torrington used 4 bases-loaded walks, an error, and an RBI single by Hunter to take the lead. Hunter finished with 3 hits & 3 RBIs for the Tigers. Mitchell led the Eagles' offense with 3 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Green River Knights 11 Wheatland Lobos 5 - The Lobos are eliminated. Down 2-0, GR scored in five straight innings and pulled away. They took the lead with 3 in the 5th and added 4 more in the 6th inning. The Knights had 15 hits. Ginestar led the way with 3 hits & 4 RBIs. Nielson added 4 hits, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored. Smialek doubled and homered for Wheatland with 3 RBIs, but it wasn't enough.

Final Score: Cody Cubs 11 Riverton Raiders 5 - The Raiders held a 5-2 lead until Cody exploded for 7 runs in the 4th inning. Hartley's 2-run single gave the Cubs the lead. Two bases-loaded walks, a wild pitch, and an RBI single by Delzer added to the Cody lead. Hartley got the win on the mound and finished with 10 Ks. Phillips had a solo home run among 2 hits & 3 RBIs for the Cubs' offense. Baker led Riverton with 2 hits and drove in 1 run.

Final Score: Lovell Mustangs 7 Jackson Giants 6 - Lovell overcame a 6-0 deficit by scoring all 7 runs over the last 3 innings. The Mustangs took the lead with a 4-run 7th inning. Wassmer smacked the go-ahead 2-run triple to center field. An error and a sacrifice fly started the rally. Morgan added 4 hits, 1 RBI, and scored 1 run, and Baxendale chipped in 4 hits and 1 run for Lovell. Moore paced Jackson with 1 hit & 2 RBIs.

Saturday, August 1:

Final Score: Green River Knights 6 Riverton Raiders 5 - The Raiders are eliminated. The Knights won on a walk-off RBI squeeze bunt by Puckett, which scored Smart from 3rd. Riverton led 5-3 after a 3-run HR by Baker in the 4th inning. In the 6th, GR scored on a groundout and an RBI single by Akin to tie it. Ginestar had 2 hits and 3 RBIs for the Knights.

Final Score: Jackson Giants 10 Torrington Tigers 6 - The Tigers are eliminated. Torrington jumped out to a 5-0 lead thanks to an error, 3 RBI singles, and a sac fly. Jackson scored the next 10 runs. They plated 8 runs across 3 at-bats to take the lead and added insurance in the 7th. Goodell had the go-ahead RBI single in the 4th inning. Menke doubled, homered, and drove in 3 runs. Peterman had 2 hits and 3 RBIs, and Moore added 2 hits and drove in 2 runs. Torrington was led by Kramer, who had 2 doubles and 2 runs scored.

Final Score: Cody Cubs 8 Lovell Mustangs 0 - Kanin Phillips threw a No-hitter! He struck out 4 and walked 2. Phillips added 2 hits, 1 RBI, and scored 2 runs as a batter. The Cubs had a 3-0 lead through 3 innings. They added 5 more in the 6th. Sitz led Cody with 2 hits and 2 RBIs.

Sunday, August 2:

Final Score: Lovell Mustangs 6 Green River Knights 5 [8 inns.] - The Knights are eliminated. GR took a 1-0 lead in the 3rd inning on an error. Lovell responded with 4 runs in the 4th. Baxendale had a 2-run single, and E. Morgan and Walker added RBI hits. It stayed that way until the Knights scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning. Akin's 3-run double tied the game. Paoli had the go-ahead RBI single. The Mustangs tied it in the bottom of the frame thanks to two errors. In the 8th, GR left 2 runners on. Lovell loaded the bases on an error, a walk, and an infield single. The winning run scored on a wild pitch.

Final Score: Jackson Giants 10 Cody Cubs 1 - The Giants broke the game open by scoring 7 runs with 2 outs in the 2nd inning. Menke's RBI single gave Jackson the lead. Peterman had a 2-run double, Goodell and Gray followed with RBI doubles, and Torres had a 2-run double. Torres added a 2-run single in a 3-run 3rd. Holding allowed 1 run on 5 hits and got the win on the mound. Phillips had the only RBI hit for Cody in the loss.

(Note: If 3 teams remain with one loss after Game 13, the winner of Game 11 will automatically be drawn into Game 14.)

Monday, August 3:

Final Score: Jackson Giants 3 Lovell Mustangs 0 - The Mustangs are eliminated. Jackson scored 1 run in the 1st, 2 more in the 4th, and held on. Goodell went the distance on the mound. He allowed 0 runs on 6 hits with 5 Ks and 1 walk. Goodell threw only 84 pitches. An error in the 1st inning led to the first run. Another error led to both runs on the same play in the 3rd inning. Jackson won despite only 4 hits. Owens led Lovell with 2 hits, including a double.

Final Score: Cody Cubs 11 Jackson Giants 1 - State Championship Game = The Cody Cubs scored 4 runs in the 1st inning to set the tone and never trailed in winning their first Division 2 Legion baseball state title. For the Cubs, it marked their first championship since 2022. Cody scored all 4 times in the opening frame without a hit. They took advantage of 2 errors, 2 walks, a hit batter, a balk, and a sacrifice fly. The Cubs added 2 runs in the 2nd and 1 more in the 3rd. That made it 7-0. Jackson got their only run in the 3rd on a groundout. Three RBI singles in the 4th for Cody capped their scoring. A double play on a fly-out and throw-out of a runner at the plate ended the game. G. Machen had 1 hit & 2 RBIs to lead the Cubs. Five other teammates each had 1 hit & drove in 1 run. Delzer got the win on the mound. He allowed the 1 run on 3 hits.

Lovell won the sportsmanship award at the D2 State Tournament.

This tournament will conclude the season for each of the eight teams in the field.
