
Campbell County’s Kaylie Neary Joins the 1000-Point Club
Kaylie Neary of Campbell County High School in Gillette has surpassed 1,000 points in her prep career. She accomplished the feat on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, in a game at No. 2 Cheyenne East on back-to-back plays. Neary made a transition layup and got to 999 points. She made a quick steal and another lay-in for the milestone. Kaylie is a four-year letter-winner for the Camels.
This year Neary is averaging 18.3 points per game to lead Class 4A. She is shooting 43 percent from the field, 38 percent from beyond the arc, and 70 percent at the free-throw line. She adds a team-high 3.4 assists per game, which is top-five in Class 4A. Her efforts have helped Campbell County to an 11-8 record this season and a 6-5 mark in the 4A East Conference. The Camels are rated No. 4 in the most recent WyoPreps Coaches and Media Girls Basketball Poll.
Neary was an all-conference and all-state selection in the 2023-24 season. She averaged 11.8 points per game and shot 41 percent from the field. Neary was second in Class 4A last season at 3.6 assists per game. She added 2.4 steals per game and shot 33 percent beyond the arc and 82 percent at the free-throw line. Neary led Campbell County to a runner-up finish at the 4A state tournament. The Camels finished 20-7 overall. They won the 4A East Regional and 4A Northeast Quadrant with a 6-0 conference record.
As a sophomore in the 2022-23 season, Neary averaged 7.5 points and two rebounds per game. She averaged six points and 1.6 rebounds per game as a freshman in the 2021-22 season.

Neary also played volleyball and tennis at CCHS in Gillette.
