Cheyenne Central’s Izzy Kelly has signed up to play basketball and softball at the next level. She will attend Dickinson State University. Kelly was an all-state performer in volleyball, basketball, and softball for the Indians. She was a two-time all-state basketball player and a four-time all-state softball player. Kelly also earned second-team all-state in volleyball as a senior last fall.

Izzy helped Cheyenne Central win the Class 4A girls’ basketball state championship in the 2024-25 season. The Indians went 25-2 during the season. Kelly averaged 14 points, 3.9 rebounds, four assists, and 3.9 steals per game. She led Central with 109 assists and 97 steals during the season. Kelly scored a career-high 26 points against Thunder Basin on Jan. 25, 2025. As a junior, Izzy averaged 13.9 points, five rebounds, three assists, and 3.3 steals per game. She helped the Indians to a 15-9 record.

On the softball diamond, Kelly led the Indians to a runner-up finish at the state tournament in Cheyenne. The Indians concluded the 2025 season at 24-12. Izzy had a .444 batting average with 48 hits and 24 RBIs. She led Central by drawing 35 walks and scoring a team-best 76 runs. Kelly also had 47 stolen bases, which led the state. Her 0.572 on-base percentage was seventh in the state.

Last fall on the volleyball court, Kelly led the Indians with 217 kills and tied for the team lead at 10 solo blocks. She added 344 digs and 26 service aces.

Kelly was a four-year letter-winner in all three sports at CHS.

Dickinson State University is in Dickinson, ND. The Blue Hawks compete at the NAIA level of collegiate sports and are members of the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA).
