Brandon Nimmo Drafted By New York Mets

With the 13th pick of the 1st round of the Major League Baseball draft, the New York Mets selected Brandon Nimmo, from the Cheyenne Post 6 American Legion Baseball Team. Nimmo is the highest drafted player in Wyoming history.

He recently graduated from Cheyenne East HS, and has a scholarship offer to play for the University of Arkansas.

If he chooses to go pro, the Mets' farm system looks like this:

Rookie League: GCL Mets - Port St. Lucie, Florida (Rookie Gulf Coast League)

Rookie League: Kingsport Mets - Kingsport, Tennessee (Appalachian League)

Short Season: Brooklyn Cyclones - Brooklyn, New York (New York-Penn League)

Lo A-League: Savannah Sand Gnats - Savannah, Georgia (South Atlantic League)

Hi A-League: St. Lucie Mets - Port St. Lucie, Florida (Florida State League)

AA-League: Binghampton Mets - Binghampton, New York (Eastern League)

AAA-League: Buffalo Bisons - Buffalo, New York (International League)
