Brenna Herring of Southeast High School will be attending college right down the road in Torrington as she has signed with Eastern Wyoming College for rodeo. She hasn't competed very much on the high school circuit this season considering that Herring has been a star player for the Southeast volleyball and basketball teams. There are 8 more rodeos to go on the Wyoming high school spring session and the goal is to qualify for the National High School Finals Rodeo that will be in Gillette later this summer. Herring will compete at the college level in barrel racing, breakaway roping, and team roping.

Herring was a two-time all-state volleyball for the Cyclones as they finished 2nd at the 1A State Tournament to Riverside in 5 sets. As a junior, her team took 3rd at the 1A State Tournament. In basketball, Herring earned all-state status 3 years in a row and averaged 11 points a game his past season as the Cyclones took 2nd place at the 1A State Tournament, losing to Upton in the championship game. In her junior year. the Southeast won the 1A state title beating Upton and Herring averaged 12 points a game that season. She averaged 9 points a game in her sophomore season.

On the academic road, Herring is looking at a career as a veterinarian.
