Bryanna Padilla became the first wrestler from Cheyenne East to get a chance to compete at the college level, as she has signed with Doane University in Crete, Nebraska. She has competed in the last two state wrestling tournaments, finishing 4th and 6th place.

In her senior season, Padilla wrestled in the 100-pound weight class and went 3-2 in the State Tournament. She won a match by fall, major decision, and a regular decision 12-6 and lost twice to Hailee Cooper of Riverton 3-0 and 12-11. With that 4th place finish, Padilla ended the year with a record of 28-9.

In her junior season, she finished 6th at the State Tournament at 100 pounds, going 2-2 with a pair of pins to her credit at the big show. She was 32-14 in 2024 and had a nice 2-year run at the prep level on the mat. Padilla also plans to cheerlead at the next level as well.

Doane University is an NAIA institution that competes in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. In women's wrestling, Doane won the GPAC Tournament and placed 9th at the NAIA National Tournament.
