It was a rough return to the ‘AA’ Northwest Regional baseball tournament after 23 years for the Casper Oilers Wednesday, as they lost 10-0 to Idaho Falls.

Randon Hostert threw a no-hitter for the Bandits and struck 10 in the game. He was drafted by the Texas Rangers earlier this summer and is headed off to college to pitch at the University of Utah.

Casper (45-17-1) managed only four baserunners in the game. Brooks Browning was hit by a pitch and reached on an error, while Lane Fanto reached on a pair of fielder’s choices.

Corbin Kirk started for the Oilers and took the loss. He allowed two runs on two hits in 2.2 innings pitched. Kirk walked three and struck out three. Zander McFee gave up seven runs on three hits over three innings of relief. He struck out three but walked seven batters.

Casper will play Juneau, AK in an elimination game Thursday at 10:30 a.m., Mountain Time, in Lewiston, ID.
