Cheyenne East Football Postgame Remarks

Cheyenne East has advanced to the 4A State Championship game in football for the last two years running so they know how to win. They have qualified for the postseason 14 years in a row but it's also a whole new world for the T-Birds. East has just two returning starters from a year ago but they made things work in their 37-6 win over Laramie to open the season on Friday night.

Running back Keyshawn Brown was the best athlete on the field and finished with 157 yards with some nifty moves thrown in. He came over to Cheyenne East from Rock Springs and has bounced back from shoulder surgery.

Wyatt Dean is one of those returning starters and plays in the secondary and also serves as the T-Bird punter, You can't miss him on the field as he is listed at 6-6 which makes him the tallest guy on the team.

We talked with both Brown and Dean after that big win over Laramie and that was certainly a good start to the season.
