Cheyenne Hawks Insight With Manager Brad Barker

After reaching the Single-A title game last year, the Cheyenne Hawks are looking to take the next step.

The Hawks clinched the Single-A Southeast division crown on Tuesday with a sweep of a conference twin bill at Wheatland. That also gives Cheyenne the top seed at the East District Tournament next week in Douglas.

WyoPreps talked with Hawks' manager Brad Barker about his squad, their development, and getting them ready for the postseason.

Cheyenne is 27-12 this season. They conclude their regular season with a doubleheader at Douglas on Thursday. Their last state title was in 2019. The Single-A State Tournament begins on July 25 in Cody.
