Cody Girls Softball Postgame Remarks 3-26-21 [VIDEO]

The Cody girls softball team has 4 freshmen and 10 sophomores on the team but they played with confidence in their 9-0 win over Worland to start the season on Friday in Worland. It took quite a bit of time to get girls high school softball sanctioned but there was plenty of enthusiasm for both teams.

Cody got a tremendous pitching performance from freshman Ellie Ungrund who struck out 10 and gave up one hit. Her velocity in the game was impressive and the Cody bats did their job too with 5 runs in the 3rd inning. Sophomore Morgan Evans crossed the plate 3 times and we caught up with Ungrund and Evans after the ballgame.
