For the first time since 2017, Cody will be playing at the 3A level in volleyball, and over the past few years, they were a team to be reckoned with in 4A. Last season. the Broncs were 27-3 and took 3rd at the 4A State Tournament but will have to replace some major contributors due to graduation.

Cody went 4-2 in the Gillette Tournament over the weekend with wins over Sundance, Rapid City Central, Campbell County, and Rapid City Christian. They did lose their last 2 matches in the gold bracket to Thunder Basin and Kelly Walsh so they sit at 8-2.

Cody has a returning All-State player in Rainey Powell, plus a superb all-around athlete in Sophia Radakovich. The Broncs have an emerging star in Grace Hays so there's more than enough talent to deal with the 3A season. They're currently ranked #1 in our latest WyoPreps poll and will be looking for their first state championship since 2011.

We had a chance to chat with Sydney Simone, Sophia Radakovich, and Rainey Powell after their tough match with Rapid City Christian on Saturday. In some respects, it's a whole new world for this team and they think it will be just fine.
