Worland senior Carter Clark is furthering his basketball career after recently signing with Dickinson State University.

Clark was a two-time all-state and all-conference selection at Worland High School. During his senior season, he helped the Warriors win the Class 3A boys’ basketball state championship. Worland went 23-3 last season.

In the 2022-23 campaign, Clark averaged 15.3 points per game, which was fifth in Class 3A. He shot 42 percent from the floor and 32 percent beyond the arc. Clark added 3.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. He led the Warriors in three-point field goals made and attempted (42-132) and free throws made and attempted (78-115). Clark had a career-best 32 points in Worland’s 79-74 win at Buffalo on Feb. 24, 2023.

As a junior in 2021-22, Clark contributed 14.3 points per game and shot 40 percent from the field. He added 2.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and a team-high 2.5 steals per game. Worland went 26-3 and won the consolation title at the 3A boys’ state basketball tournament.

Clark averaged 5.3 points and two rebounds per game in his sophomore season at WHS. The Warriors won the 3A state championship in the 2020-21 season. He played in all 23 games.

Carter also played football and soccer at Worland High School. He has been part of the last two 3A boys’ soccer state championships with the Warriors. They are ranked No. 1 in Class 3A in the current WyoPreps Coaches and Media Boys Soccer Poll.

Dickinson State University is in Dickinson, ND. The Blue Hawks compete at the NAIA level. They are part of the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA).
