Thunder Basin is the three-time State Champion in softball and several players from that program will continue their careers on the diamond at the college level. One of them is Danica Shawver, who will be going to Otero Junior College in Colorado

In her junior season in 2024, she hit 493 with 37 hits, 18 RBIs, 28 runs scored, and a home run in 28 games. Shawvers's on-base percentage was .563. In her sophomore season, she appeared in 16 games, hitting .320 with 8 hits and 7 runs batted in.

Shawver plays first base and made 98 put-outs with just 4 errors. She also played club softball with the Wicked 307 program.

Otero went 23-29 last season in softball.
