Powell basketball player Dawson Griffin was a perimeter threat for the Panthers this past season, hoisting up 140 3-point attempts, as opposed to just 4 in his junior year. Griffin's improvement has earned him an opportunity at the next level, as he has signed with Carroll College in Montana.

This past season, Griffin averaged 7.9 points a game and shot 38% from the 2-point range. He had a season-high 23 points vs. Worland and was 9-19 from the field in that contest. He made five 3-pointers vs. Lovell in 2024-25 and certainly made a difference for a Powell team that went 16-10.

Griffen also played football for the Panthers, primarily in the secondary, with 19 tackles,  plus an interception in 2024. He also caught a touchdown pass in his senior season and one touchdown catch in his junior year.

Carroll College is an NAIA school in Helena, Montana, and is a member of the Frontier Conference.
