Cody Pinkerton of Douglas was one of the most dominant wrestlers in the state in 2020. He pinned all four of his opponents at the state tournament en route to the 3A 220-pound state championship and a 55-0 record. Pinkerton also won the 220-pound class at the Ron Thon tournament, beating Logan Cole of Thermopolis who was this year's  2A state champion.

In his junior year. Pinkerton was the 3A 220 pound state titlist with four pins en route to the top of the podium and a record of 55-2. He also wrestled for the 3A state championship in 2018 at 195 pounds and in 2017 at 182 pounds. He amassed 96 wins in his freshman and sophomore season's combined.

Pinkerton was also a two-time all-state selection of the defensive line for the Douglas football team so needless to say, he's quite an athlete. Pinkerton will continue his wrestling career at Northern State in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Northern State in a Division II school that competes in the Northern Sun Intercolliagete Conference.
