Wrestling galore! There is a lot more action on the mat throughout Week 8 of the 2026 Wyoming High School wrestling season. Action is spread across five competition days all around the Cowboy State. After a focus on Riverton last weekend, teams will be in action all around the state. Class 4A has its conference dual tournaments with the girls in Rock Springs and the boys in Cheyenne on Friday and Saturday. Mountain View hosts the Bridgerland Invite on Friday.

WYOPREPS WEEK 8 WRESTLING SCHEDULE 2026

Newcastle hosts a girls’ tournament on Saturday, while some boys’ teams are at the Bullington Memorial Duals in Yoder. Greybull hosts its invite on Saturday for girls and boys. Finally, for multi-team events, Rawlins hosts its Rumble in Rawlins on Saturday with girls and boys. Plenty of other action is early in the week. A few schools venture out of state to the Black Hills Classic in South Dakota on Saturday. All schedules are subject to change. Regional championships are only two weeks away, and the state championships are just three weeks out.

Cheyenne East won Pool A. Green River was 1st in Pool B. Natrona County won Pool C. All of them were 3-0 in duals.

Bridgerland Invite at Mountain View HS = Big Piney, Cokeville, Evanston, Kemmerer, Lyman, Mountain View, Pinedale, Star Valley.

Pinedale scored 138 points to finish first in the team standings. They had 5 champions in the tournament. Kemmerer was second and had 3 champs.

Kemmerer took 1st place with 197 team points. The Rangers had 3 champions. Cokeville was second, and Mountain View finished third. Pinedale and Lyman also had 3 champs.

4A State Duals at Rock Springs = Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Evanston, Green River, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Rock Springs, Sheridan, Thunder Basin.

Green River is the 4A Dual Champions! The Wolves beat NC in the championship bracket, 45-36. GR defeated East in the Gold Bracket title match, 42-38. Rock Springs won the silver bracket title 42-36 over Evanston.

Greybull Girls Memorial Wrestling Invite at Greybull = Buffalo, Dubois, Greybull/Riverside, Lander, Lovell, Powell, Rocky Mountain, Shoshoni, Thermopolis, Tongue River, Wind River, Wyoming Indian.

Powell wins the Greybull Memorial tournament with 98 points. The Panthers had two champs in Caydee Eden (105) and Eleasah Horsley (115). Shoshoni took second, and Thermopolis finished third.

Lady Dogie Invite in Newcastle = Burns/Pine Bluffs, Glenrock, Hulett, Lingle-Ft. Laramie/Southeast, Moorcroft, Newcastle, Sundance, Torrington, Upton, Wheatland, Wright; Out-of-state: Belle Fourche (SD), Custer (SD), Harding County (SD), Hill City (SD), Hot Springs (SD), Lead-Deadwood (SD), Lemmon (SD), Mahpiya Luta (SD), Spearfish (SD), Sturgis Brown (SD).

Lemmon (SD) won the team title, and South Dakota had the top 3 teams. Upton was 4th with 84.5 team points. Addy Dollick from Upton was a champ at 110. Aalyiah Pavone from Lusk won the 105 title. Kyonna Gustafson of Hulett won 115. Sophie Meyer of Wheatland was the champ at 170.

Rumble in Rawlins Girls Tri-Duals = Douglas, H.E.M., Pinedale, Rawlins, Saratoga.

Rawlins wins the Tri-Dual with a 36-24 win over Douglas/HEM/Saratoga and a 42-40 win over Pinedale.

4A State Duals in Cheyenne at East HS = Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Rock Springs, Sheridan, Star Valley, Thunder Basin.

Thunder Basin finished 3-0 and won the title. The Bolts got a first-round bye, then beat Evanston (54-19) and Green River (42-30). In the championship versus Natrona County, Thunder Basin prevailed 50-18. NC was 2nd. Green River finished 3rd with a 44-35 win over East.

Bullington Memorial Duals in Yoder at Southeast Elem. School = Burns/Pine Bluffs, Glenrock, Lingle-Ft. Laramie/Southeast, Lusk, Torrington, Wheatland; Out-of-state: Alliance (NE), Bridgeport (NE), Chadron (NE), Crawford (NE), Dayspring (CO), Hay Springs (NE), Kimball (NE), Mitchell (NE), North Park (CO).

Mitchell (NE) won the team title. Torrington placed 2nd, and Wheatland took 3rd. The Blazers beat Bridgeport (NE), North Park (CO), and Dayspring (CO) before falling 46-33 to Mitchell in the title match. Wheatland beat LFL/Southeast and Alliance (NE), lost to Mitchell, but defeated Dayspring for 3rd.

Greybull Memorial Wrestling Invite at Greybull = Buffalo, Cody JV, Dubois, Greybull/Riverside, Lander, Lovell, Moorcroft, Powell, Rocky Mountain, Shoshoni, Thermopolis, Tongue River, Wind River, Wyoming Indian.

Moorcroft won the championship with 168 points. The Wolves' two champs were Marcus Reynolds (113) and Riley DeHaven (175). Tongue River took 2nd and had 3 champions, and Thermopolis was 3rd with 2 champions. 

Rumble in Rawlins Duals = Cheyenne East JV, Douglas (2), H.E.M., Pinedale, Rawlins, Saratoga.

Rawlins won their home event. The Outlaws went 5-0 through 5 rounds. They beat Saratoga/HEM, East JV, Douglas, Douglas 2, and Pinedale, 50-24. Douglas placed 2nd, and the East JV took 3rd.

Black Hills Classic at Hill City, SD = Hulett, Newcastle, Sundance, Upton, Wright.

Wight was 10th, Sundance was 11th, Upton was 12th, Newcastle was 16th, and Hulett was 21st. Wudzie Zaato of Sundance captured the crown at 175.
