The eternal battle between east and west continues in the latest coaches and media soccer polls.

In the 4A poll, the east has lost it's dominance over all 5 spots. Natrona cracks the top 5 at the #5 position, knocking out Cheyenne East. The rest of the poll is unchanged with Sheridan, Laramie, Central and Gillette holding down spots 1-4. However there could be some major shuffling in the ranks after this weekend. Big games include #1 Sheridan at #4 Gillette on Friday, in addition to #2 Laramie at #3 Central. Saturday has East at #2 Laramie and #4 Gillette at #5 Natrona, however the Fillies have to contend with cross-town rival Kelly Walsh at home on Thursday.

On a separate note, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America has released its latest rankings. In Region 6 (Alaska, California, Colorado, Idaho, and Wyoming), the Sheridan Lady Broncs (9-0) are ranked #8. The next rankings are scheduled to be released on April 24th.

3A-wise, one east team is ranked in a poll dominated by west teams. That would be Buffalo who is sitting at #3. All the attention this weekend will be focused on #1 ranked Cody as they have a huge test facing them this weekend at home. On Friday, it's #2 vs. #1 as the Fillies host Star Valley. Then on Saturday, #5 Jackson will pay a visit to Cody. Meanwhile Lander holds at #4.
