Emma Asay of Rock Springs was an All-State basketball player in 4A this past season and will be headed to Gillette College in the fall. She averaged 14.9 points per game, which was 5th in 4A, and averaged 6.8 rebounds per contest. Her season high scoring wise was 25 points vs. Jackson, and her season high rebounding was 11, twice vs. Green River and Star Valley.

Asay had a solid season in her junior year, averaging 11.4 points per game and 6.3 rebounds a game. Both of those stats led the team, and that kind of effort earned her 4A All-Conference honors. Her best offensive performance of the season was 28 points vs. Riverton, and she had an 11-rebound game vs. Riverton.

Asay burst on the scene in her sophomore year, garnering All-Conference distinction, averaging 9.8 and 5/9 rebounds a game. She also played in the Wyoming-Montana All-Series that was held last month in Gillette and Billings.

Gillette College is a Region IX junior college institution that went 23-10 in the 2024-25 season.
