Encampment/Saratoga Runner Jarom Herring Joins Central Wyo. College

Distance runner extraordinaire Jarom Herring has signed on with the Central Wyoming College cross country and track teams.

Herring ran cross country for the combined Saratoga/Encampment team. He captured the 1A individual state championship as a junior in 2018 and as a sophomore in 2017. His winning time in 2018 was a blistering 17.29.77. As a freshman in 2016, Herring took 6th at state and as a senior in 2019, he placed 5th.

In track and field, Herring ran for Encampment and as a junior, he placed 4th in the 1600 meters at the 1A state meet, 6th in the 3200 and 10th in 800. In his sophomore season, he was the 6th place finisher at state in the 3200 and 8th in the 1600. Herring also took 4th place at the state track meet in the 1600 and the 3200 meter run as a freshman.
