WyoPreps Week 3 Cross Country Scoreboard in the 2026 Season

Three cross-country races will be in Wyoming during Week 3 of the prep season. Riverton, Douglas, and Ethete will host over three days. Riverton and Douglas are similar-sized cross-country meets, while Wyoming Indian has a smaller event. Several teams will compete at venues closer to home rather than traveling a longer distance. Of course, that’s not the case for everyone. Teams are competing in Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Utah.

Tuesday, Sept. 8:

Out-of-State Events:

Belle Fourche Invitational in Belle Fourche, SD – Buffalo, Hulett.

Buffalo won both team titles. Ellie Farris took 1st place in the girls' division, and Jace Townsend placed 2nd in the boys.

Thursday, Sept. 10:

Berry Bryant/Kyle Johnson Memorial XC Meet at Riverton Rendezvous Site – Arapaho Charter, Burlington, Ft. Washakie, Green River, Lander, Lovell, Riverton, Rock River, Rocky Mountain, St. Stephens, Wind River, Worland.

Ava Tapia of Worland won the girls' race by 17 seconds. Ridge Rieman of Riverton won the boys' race on his home course by 9 seconds. Worland swept the team titles.

Friday, Sept. 11:

Douglas XC Invitational at Douglas C.C. – Campbell County, Casper Christian, Casper Classical Academy, Douglas, Glenrock, Kelly Walsh, Moorcroft, Rawlins, Saratoga, Tongue River, Torrington, Wheatland, Wright.

Jamie Dirck from Rawlins won the girls' race by 33 seconds. Noah Blasi from Rawlins made it a sweep for the Outlaws. He won the boys' race by 33 seconds. Rawlins won both team titles.

Girls Team Scores = Rawlins 50, Tongue River 56, Saratoga 57, Kelly Walsh 62, Torrington 107.

Boys Team Scores = Rawlins 40, Douglas 67, Glenrock 92, Wright 96, Saratoga 103, Torrington 106.

Out-of-State Events:

Kimball XC Invite in Kimball, NE – Pine Bluffs.

Pine Bluffs' Natalia Caballero was 3rd in the girls' race, and Sutter Allen of PBHS placed 7th in the boys' race. The Hornets took 3rd in the boys' team standings.

Thornton XC Invitational in Thornton, CO – Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Laramie.

Cheyenne Central's Adalyn Racines won the girls' race by 14 seconds. Laramie took first place in the girls' team standings. Central's Cal Bibbey won the boys' race, making it a sweep for the Indians. Central was 5th, and Laramie took 6th in the boys' team standings.

Saturday, Sept. 12:

Wyoming Indian ‘Run For The Moccasins’ at WIHS in Ethete – Arapaho Charter, Thermopolis, Wind River, Wyoming Indian; out-of-state: Little Wound (SD).

Wyoming Indian won both team titles. Dai'Onna Posey from Wyoming Indian and Glorian Blackbear from Wind River won the girls' and boys' races, respectively.

Out-of-State Events:

Border Wars XC 2026 in Taylorsville, UT – Evanston, Lyman, Mountain View, Rock Springs.

Aria Wheeler from Rock Springs took 12th. She was the top girl runner from Wyoming. Mountain View's Colt Madsen was 5th place in the varsity boys' race. The Mountain View boys were 3rd in the varsity boys' team standings.

Border Wars XC 2026 in Utah results link

Bozeman XC Invite in Bozeman, MT – Big Horn, Campbell County, Cody, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Powell, Sheridan, Star Valley, Thunder Basin.

Kelly Walsh was 3rd, and Star Valley placed 5th in the girls' division. Sheridan won the boys' team crown. Big Horn's Lyla Marney placed 4th and was the top girl from Wyoming. Eli Balkenbush from Sheridan won the boys' varsity race.
