Four Schools Involved in Volleyball Play-in Matches
It’s “Play-in Game” Monday for four high school volleyball teams in Wyoming, as they try to keep their season alive.
In Class 1A, three conferences feature five teams, the Northeast, Southeast, and Southwest.
The 1A Southeast uses a points-based system for regional volleyball seeding, so since there are no “official” conference matches, there is a playoff for the No. 4 seed from the 1A Southeast between the fourth and fifth-place teams in the points standings.
In the 1A Southwest, Farson-Eden and Encampment split their two league matches, which creates the play-in game for the No. 4 seed.
The winners of the two matches will advance to the regional tournament for bracket play on Friday and Saturday.
In the 1A Northeast, Midwest swept Arvada-Clearmont in the regular season, so there will be no play-in match. Midwest gets the No. 4 seed.
