In the 4th meeting between these 2 schools this season, Gillette finally beat Sheridan 71-68 to advance to the 4A Boys championship against Kelly Walsh on Saturday night. The key point came in the last :30 seconds when Sheridan's Gus Wright fouled a 3 pointer shooter and also picked up a technical foul. Gillette proceeded to hit 5 free throws to take a 4 point lead at 67-63. Sheridan rallied to get to within 2 at 70-68 and Gillette hit one more free throw to give the Camels a 3 point lead with 4 seconds. The Broncs got a good look at a 3 pointer at the buzzer but it was off the mark in a shocking end to the season for Sheridan.
