In 2A football, Burns played host to Glenrock on Friday. Burns started the night 2-2 and was looking for more consistency. Glenrock was 1-3 and looking to turn things around as soon as possible.  The Herders jumped on the board first as Aiden Orozco got into the end zone to make 6-0. But Burns answered back thanks to their super back in Boe Clayson. The guy is phenomenal and reeled off a 76 yard for a touchdown in the opening quarter to put tie the game at 6. Burns added to their total in the first quarter as Kaden Lakin ran 30 yards for a score. The 2 point try was good giving the broncs a 14-6 lead

In the 2nd quarter, Clayson and Lakin both found the end zone. Clayson from 5 yards out and Lakin zoomed 72 yards for a score, so burns were sitting pretty good at halftime leading 28-6. In the 3rd quarter, Ben Banville caught a 5-yard TD pass to increase the Burns lead to 28-6.

Glenrock found the end zone twice in the 4th quarter as Kade Geunther ran it in from 4 yards out and Orozco had a 38-yard gallop for a TD. He had 147 yards rushing by the way. But Burns also tallied 2 touchdowns in the 4th, Lakin with a 61-yard run and Clayson had a 35-yard run.  Lakin had 216 yards on the ground and Clayson chipped in 158. Burns gets to 3-2 with a 49-20 win over Glenrock. Next up for the Broncs will be a road game at Pine Bluffs. Glenrock is 1-4 and will be at home this week to meet Kemmerer.
