Glenrock basketball player Jaxson Cornella will get a golden opportunity at the next level as he has signed with Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. Cornella, as a point guard and shooting guard, averaged 6.3 points and 2.6 rebounds a game for the Herders this past season. He had a season-high 20 points vs. Wright in February.

As a junior, Cornella appeared in 19 games, averaging 3.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. He also saw playing time with the Glenrock football team, and on defense, he had a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown and forced a fumble. On offense, he caught a couple of balls for 60 yards. In his junior year. Cornella participated in the State 2A Cross Country Meet for the Herders.

Rocky Mountain College is an NAIA institution that competes in the Frontier Conference. The school's basketball team went 19-11 this past season and 1-1 in the conference tournament.
