Kennedi and Reece Niemann played huge roles as the Cody girls' basketball team finally reached the promised land with a 4A State Championship. The Fillies ran the table in 2022-23 en route to the state title and the Niemanns will continue their basketball careers at Pima Community College in Tuscon, Arizona.

Kennedi is a three-time all-state selection in 4A and averaged 9 points and 2 rebounds per game this past season. She threw in 11 points a game in her junior year and 8 points a game in her sophomore season. She was also an all-state selection in volleyball in 2022.

Reece is a two-time all-conference selection who averaged 6 points a game in her senior year, 7 in her junior and 4 in her sophomore year. Thanks to these 2 players, Cody had a record of 67-7 over the course of the last 3 seasons. That's a testament to perseverance considering they finished 2nd at the State Tournament in their junior and sophomore seasons. Prior to the Niemann's arrival, Cody's last winning season in girls' basketball was back in 2012.

Pima competes at the Division II junior college level and finished 6th at the NJCAA Tournament, finishing with a record of 26-6
