Lauren Olsen is one of the finest basketball players in the state and will continue her career at the college level at California Baptist University in Riverside. She has been named to the All-State team for 3 straight years with her senior season yet to go. Plus, she has been on 3 State Championship teams for the Bearcats. The program has gone 79-5 in that time frame.

In the 2024 season, Olsen averaged 23.5 points per game which was 2nd in 3A, shooting 49% from the floor and 72% from the free throw line. She became the school's all-time leading scorer during the State Tournament and in the championship game vs. Buffalo, she had 26 points, going 12-16 from the free throw line. Her season high was 45 points vs. Mountain View and 38 vs. Lingle-Fort Laramie.

In her sophomore season, it was another great season for Olsen and another State Championship. She averaged 21.5 points per game which led 3A with 46% shooting from the field and 66% from the charity stripe. Olsen played a big role in the State Championship game against Buffalo, going 12-23 from the field en route to 28 points. Her season high in terms of points was 35 vs. Burns and 31 vs. Glenrock.

In the 2021 season as a freshman, Olsen blistered the competition as she threw in 23 points a game that led 3A again connecting on 51% of her shots from the field and shot 70% from the free throw line. Her season highs were 44 and 38-point efforts against Burns. In the 3A State Championship game vs. Lyman, she led the team in scoring with 17.

Olsen is also a two-time All-State performer in volleyball as the Bearcats won the 3A State Championship this past season. Cal-Baptist is a Division I institution that competes in the Western Athletic Conference.
