Lilly Charest of Sheridan Commits to Wichita State for Track
Lilly Charest has made a name for herself in track and field with a 2024 4A Girls Outdoor State Championship in the pole vault. She went 11-9 to get to the top of the podium and efforts like that earned her a spot on the Wichita State track squad. Charest had a 2024 season-best height of 12-4 set at the Broomfield, Colorado meet and also took 7th place at the prestigious Simplot Games in Idaho going 10-9.
In her sophomore season, Charest took 2nd at the 2023 Outdoor Track Championships in 4A clearing 11-3 and 12th as a freshman going 9 feet event. She has been productive on the indoor track circuit with a 3rd place finish in the pole vault at the 2024 State Indoor Track Meet in Gillette at 10-6. In the year before that, Charest placed 2nd at State Indoor at 11-3.
Wichita State is a Division I institution that competes in the American Conference.
