National H.S. Finals Rodeo Nearing End of 1st Go-Round
The first go-round of the National High School Finals Rodeo will conclude on Wednesday morning and the 2nd go begins on Wednesday night in Rock Springs. So far, the Wyoming girl's team is running in 3rd place with Yoder's Hadley Thompson sitting in 3rd place in the goat tying. Rhame Hicks from Gillette is 5th in the breakaway roping while Kloe Nichols of Boulder is 8th in the barrel racing. Abby Milburg of Gillette is in 14th place in the first go-round of the pole-bending, Karly Peterson from Buffalo is 22 in the girls cutting and Sydnee Roady out of Worland is 38th in the reined cow horse event.
The Wyoming boys team is in 14th place after Tuesday night's performance. Green River's Jacob Cook is 10th in the first go of the bareback, Pace Garrett of Gillette is 17th in the saddle bronc, Cheyenne's Brenson Bartlett sits in 17th in the bull-riding, Trenton Sheehan from Rozet is in the 18th spot of the steer wrestling, Keyton Hayden of Gillette 18th in the boys' cutting, Talon Larson of Gillette is 51st in the tie-down roping and he's in 45th in the team roping along with Sidwell Peterson of Torrington.
