New WyoPreps Soccer Rankings See Change in All Four Polls
The new WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Soccer Polls feature one change in all four classes this week.
There is a new No. 1 in Class 3A girls, plus two new teams make their debut in the rankings.
The Cody Fillies are now atop the 3A girls’ poll. They are a unanimous choice for the top spot after their convincing win over previous top-ranked Lander last week. Cody received all 11 first-place votes. The Tigers fall to second. Worland moves up one spot to No. 3. Newcastle also climbs one position to fourth, while Buffalo drops to fifth.
The top four are the same in 4A girls. Thunder Basin stays in first for the third straight poll. The Bolts got 10 of the 12 first-place votes. The two other votes for No. 1 went to Rock Springs. The Tigers stay second, ahead of Cheyenne Central and Sheridan. The Kelly Walsh Trojans make their debut in the poll at No. 5. That pushes Jackson out of the top five.
Worland holds the top spot in 3A boys. The Warriors received 8 of 11 first-place votes. Powell picked up the other three first-place votes, and the Panthers hold in second. They are followed by Lander in third. Douglas and Cody flip spots. The Bearcats rise one to fourth, while the Broncs drop to fifth.
In 4A boys, Jackson holds onto the No. 1 ranking but barely. The Broncs are just three points ahead of the second-ranked Thunder Basin Bolts. Kelly Walsh and Sheridan remain third and fourth, respectively. Cheyenne Central is the new team ranked in fifth. Laramie falls out of the top five.
