Newcastle’s LaKacee Lipp Will Join the Trappers Soccer Program

Newcastle senior LaKacee Lipp has signed to play soccer at Northwest College in Powell.

Lipp is a four-year starter for the Dogies. She has been named Honorable Mention all-conference twice in her prep soccer career.

Last year, Lipp helped the Dogies to an overall record of 10-2-2. Newcastle won the consolation trophy at the Class 3A state soccer tournament. Lipp was a member of the Dogies’ defense that recorded ten consecutive shutouts in the 2021 season. She recorded one assist last season.

The Dogies are off to a 2-2 start in the 2022 season. Lipp is one of Newcastle's team captains this season.

The senior also played volleyball last fall and helped the Dogies reach the 3A state volleyball tournament.

The Trappers have a new head coach in Rob Hill. Northwest College went 7-8-1 last fall and 4-4 in conference matches.
