Riverton High School has a new volleyball coach. On Friday, Riverton High School Athletic Director Reggie Miller announced the hiring of Amanda Nimmo.

Nimmo has spent the past two years as head coach at Wind River High School in Pavillion. She went 42-29-2 in two seasons with the Cougars. That included a 9-3 record in Southwest Quadrant action. Nimmo was a two-time Conference Coach of the Year and the 2019 Fremont County Coach of the Year.

Wind River went 26-11-2 last season, including 6-0 in conference play. They were the Class 2A runners-up in 2019. The Cougars also reached the state tournament in Nimmo’s first season of 2018.

Miller stated in the release, “Riverton looks forward to future success as Amanda works with our student-athletes.”

Wind River High School now begins its search for a new volleyball coach.
