Casper was the site of a key 4A football contest as Natrona played host to Campbell County with both teams starting the night at 5-1. NC displayed a punishing ground game and opened the scoring with a 16-yard touchdown run from Rogan Potter to lead 7-0. The Camels quickly responded with a 25-yard run for a score from Trent Rosenau but the extra point was missed so it was 7-6

The Mustang defense made a big contribution by recording a safety to bump their lead to 9-6. Natrona found the end zone again in the 2nd quarter as Daniel Yates galloped  32 yards so at this juncture it was 16-6. Campell County showed some resolve as Rosenau picked up his 2nd rushing touchdown of the night and with the successful two-point try, the lead was shaved to 16-14.

Natrona showed some resolve in the 2nd half with a 65-yard run for a TD from William Cantrell and he followed that with a 23-yard run to the house giving the Mustangs a 31-14 lead. Once again, Campbell County climbed back into the game thanks to a 42-yard touchdown pass from Mason Drube to Garrett Herther to cut the gap to 31-21. That's the way it stayed as NC pretty much secures a home playoff game in 4A at 6-1 and will visit Sheridan this Friday.

Campell County is still in the running for a home playoff game at 5-2 and will be on the road this week at Cheyenne Central. Take a look at some first-class photos of this NC-CC game thanks to Libby Ngo and Shannon Dutcher. Those images are available in our gallery below. Enjoy!
