Pine Bluffs and Shoshoni met for the 1A 9-Man state championship back in November with Pine Bluffs winning a sensational game. These two teams kicked off the 9-Man season with Pine Bluffs prevailing at home 36-12.

Hornet running back Ryan Mohren was a monster with 190 yards rushing and scored the first touchdown of the game in the 1st quarter on a one-yard plunge. Mohren also caught a 31-yard TD pass in the 2nd quarter but Shoshoni answered the bell with a couple of scores of their own. Braxton Mills found the end zone from a yard out and that was followed by a 7-yard run for a score from Wiley Phileo so the Wranglers trailed 15-12 at the halftime intermission.

Pine Bluffs regained the lead thanks to Mr. Mohren who reeled off a 74-yard run for a touchdown to make it 22-12. The Hornets put the game away with a 2-yard run for a TD Jesus Solis and a 17-yard gallop from Ty Scarborough. Pine Bluffs wins it 36-12 and will be at home on Friday to meet Guernsey-Sunrise. Shoshoni will be on the road once again as they travel to Greybull.
