PhotoFest: Powell Impresses With 40 Point Win Vs. Douglas

In a battle of the #3 and #4 ranked football teams in 3A, Powell rose to the occasion and pummeled Douglas on Friday at home 47-7. The Panther defense was exceptional and that group has been more than efficient in the last 3 games. They've allowed just 7 points in those 3 ballgames and Douglas has some offensive weapons.

The Powell offense operated at a high level in this game as quarterback Jhett Schwahn threw in an incredible seven touchdown passes. Six of those went to receiver Trey Stenerson so those two could not be stopped. Powell has a gifted group of athletes this season and they're going be tough on opponents, provided they stay healthy.

The Panthers will be at home on Friday hosting Green River and Douglas will try and re-group after suffering their first loss of the season. The Bearcats are 2-1 on the season and will travel to Worland this week.
