As we head into the meat of the 2022 football season, we have a chance to look back at the 2021 State Championship games at War Memorial Stadium. As it turns out, more than a few teams that made the big stage last season have a very good chance of making the big stage this season.

Playing at a Division 1 football stadium is a memorable experience and getting on the bus with the championship trophy makes it even more memorable. Just a refresher course, Sheridan won the 4A title beating Rock Springs, Cody prevailed in 3A over Jackson, Lyman beat Lovell in a slugfest for the 2A crown, Shoshoni won the hardware in 1A 9 Man over Rocky Mountain, and Little Snake River outgunned Encampment for the 1A 6-Man crown.

We have a huge gallery of photos from those 5 games to bring some memories. So memories will be positive and others not so positive. But that's the nature of athletics.
