Ronan Robinson of Laramie has been climbing the ladder in 4A diving his entire prep career. As a freshman, he placed 5th at the 4A State Championships with 370.8 points. He showed marked improvement in his sophomore year as he took 3rd at state with 437.4 points. Last season, he was the 4A runner-up to his teammate Dylan Bressler with 453.4 and on Saturday, Robinson finally got that coveted state title with 491 points.

Robinson had a substantial lead heading into the finals and held that big lead with three solid dives on Saturday at the Campbell County Aquatic Center in Gillette. He outdistanced Avery Dalton from Cheyenne Central who placed 2nd and Central's Sebo Emmons who took 3rd.

It took a while but Robinson made it to the top of the mountain in 4A Diving and hard work pays off.
