Ryan Wells of Dubois has proven over and over again that he is one of the finest all-around athletes in the state and will continue his basketball career at Central Wyoming College in Riverton. In his senior year in basketball, he was the leading scorer in the state regardless of classification as he threw in 24 points per game and shot 47% from the floor. That effort earned him all-state honors in 1A and was an all-state selection in his junior year, averaging 13 points a game for the Rams. Wells was an all-conference pick as a sophomore averaging 14 points per contest.

In football, Wells made all-state in the 1A 6-man ranks as he threw 12 touchdown passes and had 4 receiving touchdowns. Plus, he made 60 tackles on defense and had a pair of interceptions. He was solid on the gridiron in his junior year as he threw for 1362 yards from the quarterback spot with 23 TD passes and made 42 tackles in defense with 7 interceptions. Those numbers earned him all-state status.

Wells also competes in track and in the 2022 1A State Championships, he finished 4th in the triple jump, 7th in the long jump, his 4x400 relay team took 4th and his 4x100 relay team took 6th.

Central Wyoming College plays in the juco ranks in Region IX.
