Natrona junior sprinter Saige Gustafson has been flawless in the 55-meter dash on the Indoor Track circuit this season. In the four big meets this season in the state, Gustafson has placed first in all four. She ran 7.21 in Casper and the Basin Nation Meet in Gillette, 7.28 in Laramie, and 7:25 in the first Gillette Meet. Gustafson has been sharp in the 200 meters as well taking first in the event at the Basin Nation, 2nd in the first Gillette meet, and 4th in Casper. She has also been solid in the long jump with a 2nd place and a pair of 3rd place finishes.

Gustafson shined in the 2023 State Indoor Meet taking 3rd in the 4A 55-meters. 5th in the long jump, 7th in the 200 and her 4x200 meter relay team was 2nd. Yet, she does track for fun and to stay in shape for the soccer season.

Gustafson was a 4A All-State selection in soccer in 2023 from the forward position and she was just a sophomore at the time. That shows you what kind of speed and athleticism she has. We caught up with her after her win in the 55 dash at the Casper meet earlier this month and the sky seems to be the limit.
