In 1A 9-Man football, Saratoga had a rough end to the regular season with losses to Pine Bluffs and Lingle-Fort Laramie by large margins and a narrow defeat to Southeast. The Panthers were the 4th seed from the East in the playoffs but put it all together with a 22-20 road win over Shoshoni in the quarterfinal round.

Shoshoni opened the scoring in the 2nd quarter and a 45-yard gallop to the end zone from Carson Kisling giving the Wranglers a 6-0 lead. Saratoga responded with a touchdown pass from Jace Westring to Hazen Williams that covered 20 yards and with a successful 2-point try, the Panthers led 8-6

Shoshoni jumped back in front with a 69-yard touchdown connection from Braxton Mills to Quinton Clark and the Wranglers went for 2 and made to give them a 14-8 lead at the intermission.

In the 4th quarter, Westring tossed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Dusty Williams which was followed by a 2-yard plunge into the end zone by Shoshoni's Landon Kasper putting the Wranglers up 20-16. Saratoga responded again with a 1 yard TD run from Hazen Williams to bump the Panther lead to 22-20

With less than a minute to play, Shoshoni had one last chance, but Saratoga's Newt Williams came up with an interception on fourth down at 10, preserving the Panthers' win at 22-20. Saratoga at 6-3 will be will travel to Pine Bluffs for their semi-final round game on Friday. Shoshoni's season came to an end with a record of 6-3.
