Sheridan has been very impressive in football throughout the last few years and beat Cheyenne East on Friday 48-18 in a battle of the two top-ranked teams in 4A. Sheridan also now has the distinction of holding the Wyoming High School Football record with 35 straight wins, previously held by Laramie in the early 1960s.

Sheridan scored in their first possession of the game thanks to a touchdown from Kelten Crow, which made it 6-0. Cheyenne East had all kinds of problems with turnovers with 4 in the first half. That gave Sheridan more opportunities to score and the Broncs sure did that with a 2nd quarter TD connection from quarterback Ty Gilbertson to Karson Chase so at the halftime intermission, the Broncs led 13-3.

Sheridan's offense gashed the East defense in the 2nd half and it started with a 45-yard gallop to the end zone from Garrett Way, followed by a 59-yard touchdown reception from Breck Reed. The Broncs won it going away to get to 4-0 on the year and will host 3-1 Kelly Walsh on Friday. Cheyenne East is 3-1 and the Thunderbirds will be at home on Friday to meet 2-2 Natrona.
