The Sheridan girl's basketball team is off to a great start in the 2023-24 season with 4 wins in the Strannigan Tournament over the weekend in Riverton. This team is coming off a 4A State Tournament appearance, just their 2nd in the last 7 years. The Broncs have an all-state returnee in Alli Ligocki who has signed with Montana State-Billings for basketball. She averaged 8 points a game last night and she is joined by senior Adeline Burgess who also averaged 8 points a game a year ago.  In that Strannigan Tourney, Sheridan posted big wins over Riverton, Rawlins, and Jackson and beat Star Valley 47-39 as Burgess threw in 21

Joining the Sheridan squad this season is track and field star Addie Pendergast. She is a versatile player and a tremendous athlete. Pendergast proved in track and field that she is the fastest girl in the state and recently signed a track letter of intent with Stanford University. That's a big addition for a team with high hopes in 2023-24.

We talked with Pendergast and Ligocki after their season-opening win over Riverton and it was nice to win one, right off the bat.
